Training sessions use the principles of alignment, body awareness, and core strength from Pilates in the context of strength training. Using body weight, kettle bells, TRX, resistance bands, free weights, and more we will help you build a strong, toned, and balanced body. Strength training is important for building endurance, bone density, and maintaining/ building muscle mass.
If desired, we can also add cardiovascular training in the form of intervals to your workouts. Intervals are lengths of time one performs an exercise followed by a rest period, such as doing jumping jacks for 45 seconds followed by resting for 15 seconds. Cardiovascular training, specifically interval training, promotes heart health and boosts metabolism.
